ABOUT Garlic Chutney RECIPE

A delicious chutney that can be served with idli and dosa.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Garlic : 12 cloves
  2. Red chillies : 5
  3. Sesame oil : 2 teaspoon
  4. Mustard seeds : 1 teaspoon
  5. Asafoetida : 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Urad dal : 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt : to taste


  1. In a mixie jar, add garlic cloves and red chillies. Grind them into a fine paste.
  2. In a kadai, heat sesame oil. Add mustard seeds. Add the urad dal after the mustard seeds begin to splutter. Add asafoetida (hing) and the garlic paste.
  3. Garlic chutney is ready to serve.
  4. Serve it with hot idly or dosa
