It is a very crispy pakoda. On the other hand fenugreek leaves are rich source of iron. So just go for it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpea flour 1 cup
  2. Rice flour 1/4 cup
  3. Fenugreek leaves 1/2 cup chopped
  4. Green peas 2 tablespoon mashed
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Green chillies 2 chopped
  7. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Dry mango powder 1 teaspoon
  9. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  10. Carrom seeds 1 teaspoon
  11. Coriander seeds crushed 1 teaspoon
  12. Oil for frying
  13. Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon


  1. Add both flours and all dry masalas and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon oil and mix well. Add chopped fenugreek leaves and mashed green peas. Mix well and add all other ingredients.make a smooth batter with the help of water.
  2. Set aside for 5 minutes. Heat oil. Mix well the batter and pour spoonful of batter into hot oil in whole pan at different places. Fry from both sides. Remove it on a kitchen towel. Make dumplings from all batter in same process.
  3. Your methi fritters are ready to serve. Serve with green chutney and tamrind chutney.
