Tandoori chicken

Ingredients to make Tandoori chicken

  • chicken 1 kg cut into eight peices
  • lemon juice of one lemon
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tblspn
  • salt 2-3 tspn
  • Kashmiri red chilly powder 1 tblspn
  • Hung curd 1/2 cup
  • mustard oil 1 tblspn
  • Chat masala to sprinkle on top
  • Butter/ refined oil for basting

How to make Tandoori chicken

  1. Wash the chicken and let it drain.
  2. In a bowl make first marination by adding lemon juice,half tblspn kashmiri red chilly powder salt one tspn,ginger garlic paste one tblspn.and mix well.
  3. Make incision in the chicken pieces.and apply the marination thoroughly ,keep it for one hour in cool place.
  4. Now for second marination. Take hung curd left kashmiri red chilly powder,salt mustard oil,ginger garlic paste and again apply nicely on chicken by giving gentle massage.
  5. Arrange the chicken on black tawa or in a baking tray and grill the chickn for 25 to 30 min.
  6. Apply some butter or Refined oil in every ten min while cooking.
  7. Now when chicken is cooked arrange it on a serving plate sprinkle it with some chat masala and squese in some lemon juice serve hot with sliced onions amd pudina dip..
