Sweet Potato Masala Dosa.

Ingredients to make Sweet Potato Masala Dosa.

  • For masala vege stuffing
  • Sweet potato 300 grams
  • onions check 2 no.
  • Red chili powder
  • Urad daal 1 tbsp
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves 8 to 10 no.
  • green chillies 3 no.
  • asafoetida a big pinch.
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • garlic 4 cloves
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Dosa batter 2 cups ( 500 grams)
  • oil for making dosa 1/2 cup
  • For green chutney
  • coconut powder 1/2 cup ( fresh or dry)
  • coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Roasted split chana daal( daliya) 1/4 cup.
  • garlic 6 cloves
  • Green chilli 2
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Sweet Potato Masala Dosa.

  1. Wash and cook sweet potato ( either pressure cook or boil)
  2. Peel, cut in small cubes and cool under fan. Apply salt to taste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds , Asafoetida. Add chopped green chillies.
  4. After it crackles add urad daal for 2 minutes or it becomes little brown.
  5. Add cumin seeds. Saute.
  6. Add chopped onions. Saute for a minute. Add curry leaves.
  7. Add crushed garlic .Add chilli powder, Turmeric.
  8. Now add Sweet Potatoes. Mix well. Adjust salt
  9. Your Sweet Potatoes stuffings for dosa is ready.
  10. Prepare chutney by grinding all ingredients mentioned for chutney above.
  11. Heat a non-stick griddle. Spread oil and prepare dosa.
  12. Put Sweet potato masala in the centre and fold dosa
  13. Serve with green chutney.
  14. You can have a cup of filter coffee with it.
