Masala dosa with sweet potato filling.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For masala vege stuffing
  2. Sweet potato 300 grams
  3. Onions check 2 no.
  4. Red chili powder
  5. Urad daal 1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  7. Curry leaves 8 to 10 no.
  8. Green chillies 3 no.
  9. Asafoetida a big pinch.
  10. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Garlic 4 cloves
  12. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  15. Oil 1 tbsp
  16. Dosa batter 2 cups ( 500 grams)
  17. Oil for making dosa 1/2 cup
  18. For green chutney
  19. Coconut powder 1/2 cup ( fresh or dry)
  20. Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  21. Roasted split chana daal( daliya) 1/4 cup.
  22. Garlic 6 cloves
  23. Green chilli 2
  24. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  25. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and cook sweet potato ( either pressure cook or boil)
  2. Peel, cut in small cubes and cool under fan. Apply salt to taste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds , Asafoetida. Add chopped green chillies.
  4. After it crackles add urad daal for 2 minutes or it becomes little brown.
  5. Add cumin seeds. Saute.
  6. Add chopped onions. Saute for a minute. Add curry leaves.
  7. Add crushed garlic .Add chilli powder, Turmeric.
  8. Now add Sweet Potatoes. Mix well. Adjust salt
  9. Your Sweet Potatoes stuffings for dosa is ready.
  10. Prepare chutney by grinding all ingredients mentioned for chutney above.
  11. Heat a non-stick griddle. Spread oil and prepare dosa.
  12. Put Sweet potato masala in the centre and fold dosa
  13. Serve with green chutney.
  14. You can have a cup of filter coffee with it.
