Whole wheat Banana Pan Cake

Ingredients to make Whole wheat Banana Pan Cake

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 Cup Milk (or as required)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 ripe banana mashed
  • 2 tablespoon grated jaggery
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • salt to taste
  • butter for greasing pan
  • banana or any fruit (For Decoration - Optional)
  • Chocolate syrup or any fruit syrup (Optional)
  • honey

How to make Whole wheat Banana Pan Cake

  1. Mix the banana and Jaggery so that the Jaggery is almost dissolved in banana.
  2. Add Wheat flour, baking powder, salt, Egg (Optional) and mix. Slowly keep on adding milk to get a thick consistency for a little thick pancake and thinner consistency for a thinner pancakes. (Traditionally made thick)
  3. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Heat a non stick pan with and grease it with butter. Pour a spoonful of batter onto the hot tava and spread it to the size and thickness as desired.
  5. If the batter is thick it becomes a little difficult to spread it out. In that case just add 1-2 spoons of batter and let it take the shape.
  6. Cook it on a slow flame until golden brown from below around 5-6 minutes. Reverse it and cook it on the other side.
  7. You can make favourite shapes of animals or any cartoon’s using fruits and chocolate or fruit syrups whichever is available at your home.
  8. I have used Banana and Chocolate sauce which I had already.
  9. Serve it hot with honey.

My Tip:

Drip the back of the spoon in light water. It helps in spreading it. :-)
