ABOUT Shahi imli ki chutney RECIPE

This is a recipe of rich tamarind chutney, that can be served on top of chaats and also served with sandwiches.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tamarind / imli - 200 gms
  2. Sugar - 250
  3. Black salt - 5 gms
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1 tsp
  6. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Crushed cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
  8. Crushed almonds - 2 tbsp
  9. Raisins - 2 tbsp
  10. Chopped banana - 1 bowl

Instructions

  1. Soak tamarind / imli ia water and squeeze out the pulp.
  2. In a pan add tamarind pulp sugar and water in a medium flame.
  3. Boil till it gets thick.
  4. Add roasted cumin seeds powder,salt,black salt,red chilly powder and mix well.
  5. Once cooled,add dry fruits (cashew nuts,almonds and raisins) and mix well.
  6. Add chopped banana,and mix well
  7. Serve chilled.
