Instant Khandvi

Ingredients to make Instant Khandvi

  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 3/4 cup yoghurt
  • 1-1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ginger Chilly paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1- 1/3 cup water
  • Tempering-
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Few curry leaves
  • Fresh coconut
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves

How to make Instant Khandvi

  1. TAKE 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, ADD 3/4 CUP CURD, 1 TBSP GINGER- CHILLI PASTE
  2. ADD 1-1/4 TSP SALT, 1/4 TSP TURMERIC, 1-1/4 CUPS WATER, LITTLE AT A TIME
  3. MIX INTO A SMOOTH BATTER
  4. ADD 1.5 CUPS WATER, PLACE A STAND, PLACE BATTER ON TOP, PRESSURE COOK UPTO 6 WHISTLES
  5. TAKE OUT THE BATTER, STIR VIGOROUSLY
  6. IMMEDIATELY SPREAD ON A GREASED TRAY ON BOTH SIDES
  7. FOR THE TEMPERING- HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP EACH OF MUSTARD & SESAME SEEDS, FEW CURRY LEAVES
  8. APPLY THE TEMPERING ON THE KHANDVI
  9. SPRINKLE SOME FRESHLY GRATED COCONUT, CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. CUT INTO 2 INCH STRIPS, ROLL LIKE THIS
  11. GARNISH WITH SOME POMEGRANATE, COCONUT & TEMPERING
