About Jain Banana vada Recipe

This is a recipe of how banana vadas are made, in Jain style. Yummy, tasty and extremely delicious to eat.

Jain Banana vada

Ingredients to make Jain Banana vada

  • chickpea flour 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder 1/2 spoon
  • For vada
  • Raw banana 2
  • ginger chilly paste 1 spoon
  • red chilly powder 1/2 spoon
  • Garam masala 1/2 spoon
  • A pinch of asfoetida
  • Chopped coriander 3 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Jain Banana vada

  1. Peel ,boil and mash the raw banana and keep aside
  2. Then take a bowl add paste, all spices and banana ,salt and mix well.
  3. Add coriander.
  4. Then make a ball.
  5. In a deep bowl . Add the besan and water and masala mix well.
  6. Heat the oil in a kadai.dip the banana ball in a batter and deep fry till they turn golden brown.

My Tip:

Serve with green chutney
