Ingredients to make Mixed Fruit vada (Pazha Vada)

  • apple -1 chopped
  • banana -1 chopped after removing the skin
  • Gauva-1 chopped
  • Chickoo(sapota)-1 chopped
  • For vada batter
  • Urud dhal-1 cup soaked
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Mixed Fruit vada (Pazha Vada)

  1. Wash and soak the urud dhal for half an hour.
  2. Grind to a fine paste that is to vada batter consistency ,add salt and set aside.
  3. Now blend all the fruits in the blender using whip button. set aside
  4. Mix the fruit paste to the vada batter well.
  5. Heat oil for deep frying in a kedai .Make small vadas and gently slide them into the hot oil.
  6. Fry till golden brown colour.
  7. Serve hot.

My Tip:

While grinding the batter for vada see that you dont add too much water.if the batter is watery the vada will absorb more oil.Moreover we are adding the fruit paste too which will also make the batter watery so take care about it.
