About Mughlai Shahi Paneer / Paneer in white gravy Recipe

Mughlai cusine is known for distinctive aromatic flavour and this white gravy is rich creamy, dreamy flavor.Its a treat for the eyes and the tongue .

Mughlai Shahi Paneer / Paneer in white gravy

Ingredients to make Mughlai Shahi Paneer / Paneer in white gravy

  • 250 gms paneer chopped in cube
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 3 medium onions
  • 1/4 cup cashews Nut
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 2 tsps. ginger and Garlic paste
  • 50 Gm mawa
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cream
  • 1 Black cardamom
  • 2 Green cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 4-5 Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

How to make Mughlai Shahi Paneer / Paneer in white gravy

  1. Boil onion ,cashew nuts and green chilli along with 3/4cup of water in a sauce pan . Simmer for 5 mins.
  2. Cool and grind to a smooth paste. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan , add Black Cardamom ,Green Cardamom , Cloves ,Black pepper and Jeera .
  4. When aroma comes out add ginger garlic paste and 2tbsp water.
  5. Cook for few minutes, add onion cashew nuts paste and cook it on low flame till oil shows separately
  6. Add Khoya cook for 2-3 mins.
  7. Add water and salt and mix it well with the paste. Cook it on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Add cream and the paneer cubes and stir very gently . Simmer for a minute .
  9. Turn off the flame . Garnish with coriander .
  10. Serve hot with roties or rice .

My Tip:

I have added green chilli but you can skip it and add sugar to it.
