ABOUT Methi chicken RECIPE

A chicken gravy with loads of methi, a yummy dish to be savoured with some naan or roti !!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 200 gm
  2. Onion (chopped) - 2
  3. Curd - 1/2 cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  8. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  9. Kasoori methi - (heaped 5 tbsp)
  10. Salt
  11. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with curd, ginger garlic paste,salt and powdered masalas. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a kadhai with oil, add chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and stir. Cook till half done with occasional stirring.
  4. The add the tomato puree and cook further. Once the tomato is cooked, add the Kasuri methi and stir.
  5. Cook for few more minutes and add little water for gravy. Bring upto boil, check for seasoning and serve.
