Pumpkin snack

Ingredients to make Pumpkin snack

  • Yellow pumpkin - 1 cup
  • Par boiled rice - 1 cup
  • tamarind water - 1/2 cup
  • red chilly - 10
  • salt - as needed
  • oil
  • mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • hing - 1/2 teaspoon
  • curry leaves - 2 spring
  • coriander leaves
  • chana dal - 3 tablespoon

How to make Pumpkin snack

  1. Clean and chop pumpkin. Set aside.
  2. Wash and soak rice for 3 hrs.
  3. Soak chana dal and set aside.
  4. Boil pumpkin for 10 min. Set aside.
  5. Grind pumpkin, rice, salt, red chilly, tamarind water together to a tight batter.
  6. Add chana dal to a batter.
  7. Temper it with mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  8. Batter should be thick batter.
  9. Heat a dosa pan well. Take a handful of batter and spread it in a circular motion using your fingers.
  10. Drizzle some oil and cook it.
  11. Once it is done flip it over to the other side and drizzle some oil to cook.
  12. Serve hot.
