Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Potato : 6 (peeled, washed & chopped)
  2. Mustard oil : 4 tbsp
  3. Dry red chilli : 3 broken
  4. Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
  6. Green chilli ginger paste : 1-1/2 tbsp
  7. Raw turmeric : 2 tsp grated (optional)
  8. Tomato : 7 pureed
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Sugar : 1/2 tsp (optional)
  11. Kashmiri Red chilli powder to taste
  12. Coriander powder to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil till hot. Add mustard seed, cumin seed and dry red chilli. Saute for a few sec.
  2. Add raw turmeric and green chilli ginger paste. Saute for few sec. Add tomato puree and mix well.
  3. Add salt, sugar, kashmiri red chilli powder, kasuri methi, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well.
  4. Cook for 10-15 min till raw smell of tomatoes are gone. Now add 1/4 cup water and again cook for few min. Add potatoes and mix well.
  5. Open the lid and sprinkle chaat masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
