Ingredients to make palak paneer tomato curry

  • For balls
  • 250 gm paneer
  • 2 cup chopped spinach(palak)
  • 1 and 1/2cup of chickpeas flour(besan)
  • 1/2 tspn Garam masala
  • 1 and 1/2 tspn salt
  • 1/4 tspn turmeric powder( haldi)
  • 1/2 chilli powder(lal mirchi powder)
  • oil for Deep frying
  • For gravy
  • 4 big tomatoes
  • 1/4 tspn black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 /2 tspn garam masala powder
  • 1 small size onion finely chopped
  • 3 green chilli finely chopped
  • 7-8 garlic cloves paste
  • 1/4 tspn turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspn ajwain
  • 1/4 tspn hing(asafoetida)
  • coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 8-9 curry leaves(curry patta)
  • 1/4 tspn kasurk meethi
  • 4-5 cup water for boiling tomatoes
  • 2 tbspn oil
  • 1 spoon cream for garnishing

How to make palak paneer tomato curry

  1. Preparing palak paneer balls Heat 1 tbspn oil in a pan and add chopped palak
  2. cook the palak till all water is evaporated from it and then switch off the stove and let it cool down
  3. Add besan ,red chilli powder,salt ,jeera powder, turmeric powder and baking soda in cooked palak
  4. Mix the above mixture to form a dough and keep aside
  5. To prepare paneer ball Crumble the paneer and add garam masala powder, 1/2 tsp ofsalt and knead to form a dough
  6. prepare balls out of the paneer dough
  7. now make small flat circular roti of palak dough and enclosed the paneer ball in it
  8. make round balls of palak and paneer like this
  9. heat oil in a pan and fry the balls till golden brown
  10. For gravy preparation Slit tomatoes from bottom
  11. boil the tomatoes in water till tomato leaves the skin
  12. peel the skin of tomatoes
  13. cut the tomatoes in pieces and blend in the mixer to make a smooth puree
  14. heat 2 tbspn oil in a pan add ajwain,hing,curry leaves and then add onion and garlic paste and cook till golden brown
  15. Add tomato puree with some water to it and let it boil then add garam masala powder,red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt ...cook for 3 mins
  16. Add now fried palak paneer balls to it and cook for five minutes and switch off the stove garnish with coriander leaves and kasuri methi

My Tip:

tomato gravy should neither be too thick nor too thin
