About Moong Curry Recipe

Simply souful food of my family is moong curry which are regular dish of my kitchen . I made it little spicy and sour by adding thick buttermilk and regular spices.

Moong Curry

Ingredients to make Moong Curry

  • Boiled Moong 1 Bowl
  • Thick and little sour buttermilk 2 glass
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Crushed chilli, ginger and garlic 2 tbsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Dry red chilli 2
  • curry leaves 7-8
  • asafoetida 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Dry coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp

How to make Moong Curry

  1. Heat the pan add oil for simmer.
  2. Add cumin seeds, curry patta and dry chilli for tempering.
  3. Add asafoiteda , turmeric powder and chopped onion and saute it.
  4. Add crushed chilli, ginger and garlic and saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add 1 tbsp red chilli powder, dry coriander powder, salt and mix it.
  6. Add thick buttermilk and give quick mix.
  7. Now add boiled moong in curry and cook for 8 to 10 minutes with lid.
  8. In last add fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.

My Tip:

If u need thick curry boil it for little more.
