Take curd, lemon juice and all masala in bowl and mix them. Apply this marinade to the chicken and make small incision on the chicken pieces.
Keep this marinade chicken in fridge for one hour.
Take a wok and add oil to this now take chicken pieces and sear it on the both sides
Do searing to all the pieces .this will also char(partial burn) the chicken.
Take a utensils with a tight lid on it and arrange all the chicken pieces leaving centre place empty so to fit a small bowl.
Now take a burning coal or small twigs to this small bowl .
Put a tsp of ghee to the burning coal.And cover this quickly with lid.
Once this smoke disappear completely open the lid of container and your smokey flavour Chicken pieces are ready.
Now in a kadhai add oil in which you sear your chicken pieces add onion paste once done into golden brown add tomatoes puree
Add garam masala,ginger garlic paste red chilli powder and salt . keep stirring.
Now add chicken pieces and 1/2 cup water.cover it for 10 minutes
Smokey chicken is ready.serve hot. Garnish with corriander and Kasturi methi
