About Matar mushroom Recipe

A delicious curry of peas and mushrooms.

Matar mushroom

Ingredients to make Matar mushroom

  • Button mushrooms chopped 200gms
  • peas 3/4 cup
  • onion chopped 1Medium size
  • tomatoes chopped 3 medium size
  • cumin seeds 1Tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/2 Tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 Tsp
  • coriander powder 1Tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 Tsp
  • water 1cup or as required
  • oil 3 Tbsp
  • salt as required

How to make Matar mushroom

  1. Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add cumin seeds to hot oil and let seeds splutter.
  3. Add onions and saute until translucent.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and stir well.
  6. Add turmeric,red chilli and coriander powder.
  7. Stir and cook until oil starts to leave the sides of the masala mixture.
  8. Add chopped mushrooms and peas.
  9. Stir well ,then add water and salt.
  10. Cover the pan and cook till peas are softened .
  11. When done add garam masala powder and stir well.
  12. Serve matar mushroom hot with chapati .

My Tip:

Adjust water accordingly you me need more or less.
