Homemade Salsa

Ingredients to make Homemade Salsa

  • 4 tomatoes, deseeded and diced
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 small piece of red, yellow and green bell peppers, diced
  • Few basil leaves, washed and chopped finely
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup cheese, grated finely (I used 1 cube amul processed cheese, 1 small piece of amul mozzarella, and 1 small piece of Britannia cheddar cheese)
  • salt and black pepper as per taste
  • 1-2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1-2 tsp ready made salsa dip (optional)
  • 1 tsp Nando's peri peri sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp red chilli sauce

How to make Homemade Salsa

  1. Toss everything well except salt and pepper in a wide opened bowl to mix properly. Keep in the refrigerator.
  2. Before serving, add salt and pepper. Serve chilled with chips, nachos or served on top of Monaco biscuits.
  3. For arranging the starter, put some salsa on the Monaco biscuit and top it with bhujia, or serve it on top of toasted garlic bread to make yummy bruschetta.

My Tip:

Please chop the veggies uniformly in same size. I used a chopper to do so.
