ABOUT Aloo Bedmi RECIPE

A delicious and yummy combination of potato curry with bedmi or dal stuffed pooris.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 bowl tomato puree
  2. 4 to 5 boilled potatoes
  3. 1tbspn jeera
  4. 2 tbsp salt
  5. 2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1tsp methi dana
  7. 2 tspn saunf
  8. 1tspn haldi powder
  9. 2 tspn garam masala
  10. 3 green chilli slit
  11. 2 tsp hing
  12. 1 bowl urad and moong dal
  13. 1 bowl wheat flour dough
  14. 1tblsp kasuri methi
  15. 1 small bowl chopped corriander leaves
  16. Oil or ghee 2 tblspn
  17. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak dal for 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Now drain the water after it and grind it by adding 1tsp hing, 1tblsp salt, 1tsp garam masala, 1tsp red chilli powder, saunf, and 1tspn dhania powder.
  3. See the consistency of the batter if needed add little water to it.
  4. Now take a bowl of flour and knead the flour with this dal pithii..
  5. After kneading keep the dough aside.
  6. Now take a wok and ghee and hing , jeera in it.
  7. Now add the puree which i hv made from tomatoes and green chilli and ginger.
  8. Add all the dry masalas including kasuri Methi.
  9. Let it cook and now add mash potatoes and water.
  10. Cover it with lid.
  11. After 10 mins open the lid and garnish it with corriander leaves.
  12. For puris make small balls of the dough.
  13. Now deep fry it.
  14. Serve these Bedmis hot with gajar gobhi muli ka achaar and Aaloo ki Subzi.
