About Dil ka karaar gravy Recipe

Baghel khand favourite recipe of mine, a gravy with besan dumplings, this can be served as a perfect side dish with some pulao or plain rice.

Dil ka karaar gravy

Ingredients to make Dil ka karaar gravy

  • besan 1 cup
  • oil as desired
  • red chilli powder 11/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 11/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • curd 2 tbsp
  • ginger 2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Musturd seeds 1 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • coriander leaves chopped a Tbsp

How to make Dil ka karaar gravy

  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Crackle musturd seed
  3. Mix besan in water
  4. Now add it to pan add salt in it
  5. Stir continuously for 10- 15 minutes till besan starts leaving pan
  6. Grease a plate with oil
  7. Transfer besan in it and cut into barfi shape.this is called khadai
  8. Now fry them till brown this is dill ka karaar
  9. Now for gravy heat oil crackle cumin seeds add asafoetida too
  10. Add all spices and salt
  11. Cook for some time
  12. Add beaten curd mixed with ginger
  13. Now add water
  14. Add Dil ka karar in it
  15. Let it cook for few minutes
  16. Garnish with coriander leaves
  17. Enjoy delicious gravy
