ABOUT Cheesy Sago Bombs RECIPE

Sago or Sabudana bombs are sago potato balls with cheese and Italian herbs filling in the centre. Very easy yet mouthwatering finger licking snack and a delectable starter.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup sago or sabudana soaked overnight
  2. 4 medium sized potatoes boiled and mashed.
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt or as per the taste
  4. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder or as per the taste
  5. For filling
  6. 2 cheese cubes cut into smaller size(1 cm)
  7. 2 pinch black pepper powder
  8. 1 teaspoon oregano /Italian herbs
  9. 1 cup oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients for filling in a bowl
  2. Mix all the ingredients, to make the potato - sago mixture in another bowl.
  3. Take a small portion of the potato - sago mixture, flatten it and put a small herbed cheese cube and seal from all sides properly so that cheese doesn't comes out while frying.
  4. Make all the sago bombs in round shape, likewise.
  5. Deep fry in batches of 3 or 4 in medium hot oil until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Keep turning from time to time for an even colour.
  7. Drain them out on absorbent paper when crisp.
  8. Serve the cheesy sago bombs hot with ketchup.
