Crispy methi puri

Ingredients to make Crispy methi puri

  • all purpose flour/Maida 1 cup
  • semolina/ suji 1/4 cup
  • Rice flour 1 tsp
  • Dried Fenugreak leaves/ kasuri methi 1 tbsp
  • Gingergarlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • water as reqiured

How to make Crispy methi puri

  1. In a mixing bowl ad maida, suji, rice flour, cumin seed, salt and ghee, mix very wel.
  2. Now rub the flour with palms to make crispy puri.
  3. Using sufficient water knead hard dough. You don't have to make smooth dough.
  4. Cover with wet towel for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes knead dough again for a minute.
  5. Heat oil in kadai, meanwhile make very small balls out of dough and roll very small puris using rolling pin.
  6. Make 8 to 10 pricks using fork to avoid puffing while frying.
  7. Deep fry 5 to 6 puris at a time on low medium flame at one side, flip on other side and fry on low flame until golden color appeared.
  8. Fry all puris like this. And serve with tea.

My Tip:

Puris can be store in air tight container for 10 to 15 days.
