About Prawn Fritters Recipe

A delectable snack loved by kids . Prawns are rich in calcium and magnesium which are essential for growing children . Children prefer munching crispy snacks to curries and other spicy versions .

Prawn Fritters

Ingredients to make Prawn Fritters

  • Large prawns de shelled and deveined 12
  • besan flour 1/4 cup
  • Corn flour 3 tablespoons
  • ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • White pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • lime juice 1/2 teaspoon
  • water 1/4 cup
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Prawn Fritters

  1. In a bowl , add besan/ chickpeas flour , corn flour , salt , ginger garlic paste , white pepper powder , lime juice , little water and mix all together into a thick paste . The consistency should be of dipping consistency . Shouldn’t be watery .
  2. Heat oil in a wok for deep frying .
  3. Take a prawn , dip into the prepared paste , coat the prawn completely and put in the hot oil . Likewise , add the remaining prawns . Preferably , fry in two batches . Don’t overcrowd the wok as it may not cook evenly . Fry under medium flame for even cooking .
  4. Let the prawns get fried for five minutes . keep flipping the sides and fry till golden brown .
  5. Once done , remove the prawns from the wok by draining out the excess oil .
  6. Serve hot with your choice of sauces .
  7. Enjoy !

My Tip:

Check the besan paste consistency . Don’t use high flame . The prawns may turn uncooked inside and burnt outside .
