Arbi-aaloo ke dahi vade

Ingredients to make Arbi-aaloo ke dahi vade

  • Arbi- 100 gm
  • potato- 100 gm
  • Singhare ka aata- 1/2 cup
  • Chopped ginger and green chillies- 2 tsp
  • rock salt to taste
  • Roasted cumin powder- 1 tsp
  • Black pepper- 1 tsp
  • curd- 250 gm
  • red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmarind chutney as required
  • oil for deep fry

How to make Arbi-aaloo ke dahi vade

  1. Boil potatoes and arbi in pressure cooker. After 2-3 whistle off the flame. When the pressure is released open the lid. Peel and mash the potatoes and arbi.
  2. Mix singhare ka atta. Salt. Chopped ginger and green chillies.
  3. Make small sized vadas of prepared mixture with the help of your palm.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry alk the vadas. Stir occasionally and deep fry until they turn light brown. Take out the vadas and keep on absorbent paper.
  5. Place thease vadas in the serving bowl. Whisk curd till smooth. Pour the curd over the vadas. Top with the turmarind chutney as required.
  6. Sprinkle red chilly powder. Cumin powder.pepper powder and rock salt as required. Serve vadas immediately.
