About Bread Kunafa Recipe

It is perfect for dinner party. It is difficult to prepare but if u cook with care and love you will be prized with a heavenly taste. Wonderful sweetness of the cream infused with that unique crunchy bread. At end of the dinner party, bread kunafa can change the entire mood of the party.

Bread Kunafa

Ingredients to make Bread Kunafa

  • Bread slices - 6
  • Liquid milk - 2 cups
  • Condensed milk - 1 cup
  • cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tbsp
  • Orange essence - 1 tbsp
  • Orange food colour - 1 pinch
  • butter - As required
  • water - 1/4 cup
  • almond powder - 2 tbsp

How to make Bread Kunafa

  1. Trim the sides of the bread.
  2. Grind it till you get fine crumbs and mix the butter and orange food colour with the bread crumbs.
  3. Heat liquid milk in a frying pan for sometime.
  4. Add Cornflour, 2 tbsp of sugar, vanilla essence, orange essence, stirring continuously.
  5. When sugar dissolves, add condensed milk and turn the gas off.
  6. Cool the cream mixture.
  7. Line the baking pan with baking sheet and grease it with butter.
  8. Place a layer of bread mixture.
  9. Spread a layer of Cream mixture on it.
  10. Place the remaining bread mix on top.
  11. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes on 180℃ or till the bottom and top becomes golden brown in colour.
  12. Pour the sugar syrup over it and cool it for atleast 1 hour.
  13. Garnish with almond powder and cut it into pieces.
  14. Serve and enjoy.
  15. To prepare sugar syrup-
  16. Place the sugar and water with lemon juice.
  17. Stir till the sugar gets dissolved.

My Tip:

You can garnish it with pistachio powder and you can refrigerate overnight.
