About Sukhdi/ Gud papdi Recipe

A sweet wheat flour barfi type from Rajasthan/Gujrat.

Sukhdi/ Gud papdi

Ingredients to make Sukhdi/ Gud papdi

  • wheat flour 2 and 1/2 cup
  • ghee- 1/2 cup
  • almond and Walnut powdered- 1/4 cup
  • jaggery/Gud- 1 cup or slightly more
  • White til or sesame seeds- 1/4 cup

How to make Sukhdi/ Gud papdi

  1. Heat ghee in pan. Add the wheat flour and cook it at a low flame till it leaves the aroma and turns slightly in colour.
  2. Then add the dry fruits, white til and mix well. Finally add the gud or jaggery, mix it well and then immediately shift to a greased tin or plate.
  3. Press it from all sides with the back of a spoon. Leave it for 20 mins, then cut in desired shapes and serve.

I tried ..more than half cup ghee was required to bind sukhadi ..1 cup ..
