As its name shows its country.french loaf is from is also known in france as french sour dough.

French Loaf .

Ingredients to make French Loaf .

  • all purpose flour...4 bowls
  • sugar ..................4 tab.spoon
  • Dry yeast........2 and half tab.spoon
  • Milk.....2 bowls.or as dough requires
  • salt.....1 t .spoon.
  • butter.....4 tab. spoon
  • onion seeds...1 t .spoon

How to make French Loaf .

  1. Take flour in a big bowl
  2. Add melted it.
  3. Put salt in it
  4. In a mefium hot milk bowl add sugar and stir it
  5. Add dry yeast.and
  6. Cover it.for a minute.
  7. Stir all ingredients properly and pour it in the flour.
  8. Make a loose dough.
  9. Dough must b not very hard.
  10. Make smooth dough with the help of butter.
  11. Now put it in a warm place for rising.
  12. When it double in size .punch it.
  13. And knead thoroughly.
  14. Now u can make its shape as per your choice.
  15. Or make braid(Choti) as shown in the picture.
  16. And again rest it for rising.
  17. As it rise sprinkle onion seeds. .
  18. Brush it with butter.
  19. And put it in the oven at 180° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  20. Take it out from the oven.
  21. Brush it with butter and milk.
  22. And French Loaf is ready.

My Tip:

Bread's rising timing is depends the temperature of the place .so be careful.till the dough is not doubled in size.
