About Kesari Sweet Pulao Recipe

Kesari sweet pulao is very tasty and easy to make at home.

Kesari Sweet Pulao

Ingredients to make Kesari Sweet Pulao

  • Cooked basmati rice 2 cups
  • ghee 2 tbsps
  • cloves 4
  • bay leaf 1-2
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1/2 cup
  • cashew nuts 8-10
  • Chopped pistachio 1 tbsp
  • raisins 12-15
  • cardamom powder 1 tbsp
  • gulab jal 1 tbsp
  • Few saffrons
  • kesar colour 1/4 tsp
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Kesari Sweet Pulao

  1. Heat a non-stic pan,add ghee,clove,bay leaf and stir it.
  2. Add cashew nuts and saute for a minute.
  3. Add raisins,chopped pistachio and saute it for few seconds.
  4. Add sugar,water and stir it well.
  5. When sugar melts complitely,add cooked rice,cardamom powder,salt,kesar colour,saffrons mix well.
  6. Cover it and cook this for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
  7. Open the lid,add gulab jal and mix well.
  8. Serve hot garnished with chopped pistachio,cashew nuts,few saffrons and silver leaves.
