About Puffy Potato Souffle Recipe

A souffle is a baked egg based dish which originated in early eighteenth century France. Made with mashed potato it is an easy and comforting dish which was eaten as a breakfast too.

Puffy Potato Souffle

Ingredients to make Puffy Potato Souffle

  • potato - 1
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Grated Parmesn Cheese - 2 tablespoons
  • egg - 1
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • Bread Crumbs - 2 tablespoons
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped Fresh chives - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - to taste

How to make Puffy Potato Souffle

  1. Boil and mash the potato without any lumps.
  2. In a bixing bowl, combine mashed potato with grated cheese pepper powder and salt.
  3. Whisk the egg white till the stiff peak forms.
  4. Mix the egg yolk with mashed potato mixture.
  5. Mix butter with warm milk and pour it to the potato mixture.
  6. After that add the whisked egg and gently fold it.
  7. Grease the baking tray with butter and coat the tray with some bread crumbs.
  8. Pour the mixture to the baking tray and sprinkle paprika and chopped chives
  9. Bake for about 10 minutes in a pre heated oven at 180°.

My Tip:

You can add coriander leaves instead of chives....
