About Mumbai vadapav Recipe

Mumbai special vadapav, made in my style.

Mumbai vadapav

Ingredients to make Mumbai vadapav

  • Boiled potatoes ½ kg
  • Pav bread 8 piece
  • chickpea flour 1½ cup
  • water for batter
  • Crushed garlic 1 spoon
  • salt 1½ spoon
  • Carom seeds ¼ spoon
  • turmeric powder ¼ spoon
  • Garam masala ½ spoon
  • red chilli powder ½ spoon
  • oil 1 spoon
  • Dry mango powder ½ spoon
  • Onion garlic powder 1 spoon
  • butter 2 spoon
  • oil for frying

How to make Mumbai vadapav

  1. Take chicpea flour in a bowl
  2. Add ½ spoon salt and carom seeds
  3. Make a thick batter
  4. Keep aside
  5. Cut pav in half
  6. One Edge should not be separated
  7. Mix 2 spoon water in onion garlic powder
  8. Keep aside
  9. Mash potatoes
  10. Heat 1 spoon oil
  11. Add crushed garlic
  12. Add potatoes
  13. Add dry spices
  14. Mix well
  15. Let it cool
  16. Make round cutlets from potato mix
  17. Heat oil
  18. Dip each cutlet in chikpea batter
  19. Deep fry all cutlets
  20. Spread onion garlic paste in all pav
  21. Put hot culets in middle
  22. Apply butter on both side of pav
  23. Slightly toast on tawa
  24. Serve hot
