ABOUT Chicken curry. RECIPE

A simple kerala style chicken curry , goes well with rice & rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 1/2 kg. Cut into pieces.
  2. Lemon juice 2 tsp
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  4. Onion 2 big sliced
  5. green chillies 3
  6. Tomato 2 big chopped
  7. Ginger & garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander seeds 1 tsp.
  9. Coriander powder 3 tbsp
  10. Chilli Powder 2 tbsp
  11. Pepper 1/2 tsp
  12. Garam masala 1 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  14. Salt
  15. Oil 4 tbsp
  16. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with coriander, Chilli, turmeric & pepper powders, garam masala , salt, ginger garlic paste & lemon juice .keep aside for 1 hr.
  2. Heat a kadai with oil. Put ginger garlic chopped & coriander seeds & curry leaves. Fry well.
  3. Then add onion & green chillies. Fry till onions s r soft.
  4. Then add tomatoes. Let it simmer for a few seconds.
  5. Then add marinated chicken .stir well for about 5 min.
  6. Add enough water to cook chicken. Cover & cook on medium flame.
  7. Remove when chicken is well cooked & gravy s a little thick.
  8. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
