Eid special kimami sewai

Ingredients to make Eid special kimami sewai

  • 1 cup sewai(vermicilli)
  • 1cup khoya
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-1/2 cup water
  • ghee as needed
  • 1cup pool makhana(lotus seed) chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green elaichi powder
  • Half cup mix dry fruits
  • 2tbsp dry coconut (kopra)
  • Food colour orange ,a pinch(, optional

How to make Eid special kimami sewai

  1. HeatPan on a slow flame and roast dry sewai till it burns dark brown keep it aside
  2. In the same pan heat ghee and Fry Makhana till it gets crunchy
  3. Add Dry fruits, lastly add coconut as it burns quickly ,be very careful fry altogether and keep aside
  4. In a deep pan add sugar ,khoya, milk,food colour, water and mix it well put it on the high flame and keep stirring till the first boil .slow down the flame to cook the sugar syrup till it gets thicker and you feel heavy when stirring.
  5. Add half cup water or milk to thick the syrup and give another boil
  6. Add roasted Sewai ,dry fruits and cook on low flame for about 4 to 5 minutes
  7. Sprinkle the green cardamom powder and mix it well
  8. cover the lid and leave for 10 minutes
  9. Take it out and serve it with dry fruits

My Tip:

You can add Chandi ka work and Kewra water.
