Ingredients to make Chaat spread

  • Black chana 250 gms
  • tamarind or tomato Ketchup (Maggie)
  • Onion, tomato and small coriander bunch
  • Catch chaat masala
  • One lemon

How to make Chaat spread

  1. Boil black chana with little salt, boil the potatoes too and keep aside.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes.
  3. Chop the onions and tomato finely.
  4. Chop coriander and mix into tomatoes.
  5. Take black chana and diced potatoes in a serving bowl. Shake well ensuring the potato cubes are not broken.
  6. Now add onions, tomatoes and coriander mix.
  7. Sprinkle salt and chaat masala to taste.
  8. Now add one whole 100 gm packet of tamarind sauce or tomato Ketchup 2 tablespoon only as per choice and serve.

My Tip:

If using tamarind chutney made at home: 100 gm tamarind, 50 gm jaggery, salt, red chilli powder and zeera. Boil for ten minutes squeeze, strain out and use.
