Ingredients to make mochar niramish ghonto

  • bananas flower
  • two mmedium size potatoes
  • red lentil paste
  • grated coconuts
  • raisin 10-15
  • boiled desi chana 10-15
  • mustard oil
  • ghee
  • salt
  • sugar
  • turmeric
  • garammasala
  • bay leaf
  • ginger paste
  • green chilli paste
  • cumin powder
  • cumins

How to make mochar niramish ghonto

  1. 1.cut and clean the banana flower,boil it in cooker with salt and turmeric, 2 whistle is enough. let drain all the extra water and mashed it with hand.paste red lentil with sugar and salt.fry in small size balls.keep aside
  2. in a deep wok put 3 spoon mustard oil,add two bayleafs,cumins,now add cube potatoes, fry the potatoes till reddish.
  3. now add ginger and green chilli paste,each 1 spoon,add grated coconut half a cup,boiled chanas,turmeric,salt,cumin powder,saute all these well.then add mashed banana flower and raisins,with a laddle mix well,add a lid, keep the gas in sim.
  4. it will take almost 40-45 mins to prepare banana flower, when all things mix well add sugar, again mix it.at last add some ghee and garam masala( cinnamon, cardamom powder).

My Tip:

serve it with rice and be careful to clean the white part in each flower
