About Rajasthani gulab churma Recipe

Churma is rajasthani sweet which is made from whole wheat flour , clarified butter /ghee and sugar , we add dry fruits also , here I have given it flavour of rose , and with dry fruits I have added dried rose petals , l have made this churma in authentic style which I have learned from my grandmother and mother so friends try this churma

Rajasthani gulab churma

Ingredients to make Rajasthani gulab churma

  • Whole wheat flour 3cups
  • clarified butter /ghee for frying
  • Powdered sugar 3/4 thcup
  • Cardmom powder 1tsp
  • 1/2Tsp salt
  • almond flakes
  • pistachio flakes
  • Dried rose petals
  • 3Tbsp malai
  • 1Tsp ghee
  • 2-3 Drops of rose essence (optional)
  • little chopped cashewnuts

How to make Rajasthani gulab churma

  1. Take wheat flour in bowl
  2. Add malai
  3. Add salt and 1tsp of ghee
  4. Add water and knead hard dough
  5. Keep aside for 10 minutes
  6. Now keep ghee for frying on slow flame
  7. After 10 minutes take small portion and bind and press with fingers
  8. These are called muthiyas
  9. Make all the muthiyas
  10. Now deep fry them till they get golden colour
  11. Flame should be low
  12. Cool them for sometime
  13. Break muthiyas and grind them in mixer grinder
  14. Seive the powder with big hole seiver
  15. Again take little amount of ghee in deep kadai
  16. you can take same ghee used for frying
  17. Add this powdered churma
  18. Roast for two to three minutes
  19. Cool down properly
  20. As it cools add powdered sugar
  21. Mix with fingers properly And add cardmom powder
  22. Add almonds , pistachio and cashewnuts
  23. Add 2drops of rose essence (optional )
  24. Add some dried rose petals
  25. Mix everthing properly and transfer to airtight container
  26. Rajasthani churma is ready

My Tip:

The muthihyas should be fried on slow flame to get good results
