About Rajasthani Churma laddu Recipe

Churma ladoo is a famous food of Rajasthan it's generally known as Dal Bati Churma

Rajasthani Churma laddu

Ingredients to make Rajasthani Churma laddu

  • 500 gram wheat flour
  • 250 gram powder sugar
  • 250 gram ghee
  • oil for frying
  • 4-5 cardamom powder
  • poppy seeds for rolling

How to make Rajasthani Churma laddu

  1. Combine the wheat flour, 3 tsp of melted in a deep bowl and mix well until you get bread crumb texture
  2. Add little I look warm water at a time and knead to make stiff dough.
  3. Make the shape of patties from the dough with your palm and press with your fingers in the centre of each portion to make an indentation.
  4. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat making sure that oil does not get into a smoking point.turn the flam to low and put sufficient balls atva time into the hot oil and fry these balls untill it turns golden brown in colour.turn over and cook for even cooking.
  5. Once you finished frying all the balls allow them to cool completely.to make the cooling fast break the fried balls into smaller pieces and make it cools
  6. Once its completely cooled grind it using a mixer.grind it a little coarse.
  7. Take coarse powder out from the jar and sieve it to make evenly coarse powder for my laddu.
  8. Take ghee in a pan.And melt it on low flame.Once the ghee melt switch off the flame.
  9. Collect the mixture in a bowl,add powder sugar,melted ghee,cardamom and mix it well.
  10. Take small handful in your palm and roll them into round shape laddos.Add a little melted ghee.round ball and roll in the poppy seeds till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
  11. Yummy laddu is ready

My Tip:

You can make churma a day before and refrigerator it.serve immediately or store in an air tight container in refrigeratr
