Kadi and Chawal

Ingredients to make Kadi and Chawal

  • besan 500 gms
  • Dahi/butter milk 1/2 ltr
  • Meethidaana 1 teaspoon
  • Rai 1/2 teaspoon
  • haldi powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mirch powder 1 /2 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • Heeng a pinch
  • oil

How to make Kadi and Chawal

  1. Step 1 Mix 3 tablespoon besan, Heeng nd water properly... Beat it nicely. More it is beaten up the tastier abd shiner the kadi would be
  2. Step 2 Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder n 1 glass of water
  3. Step 3 Check ur consistency as per ur taste and add besan if required
  4. Step 4 Now heat oil in wok add heeng, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds nd let it crackle
  5. Step 5 Add besan and curd mixture into itn cook on high heat till boiling
  6. Step 6 Let it cook on slow heat for 40 minutes
  7. Step 7 Prepare a mixture of gram flour n water and beat it properly
  8. Step 8 Once the oil for frying is ready then Take few drops of hot oil n add into Besan mixture n beat it again. Add salt and then fry Pakodis
  9. Step 9 Put these fried Pakodis in a bowl filled with water
  10. Step 10 Add fried Pakodis with kadi. Cook for few minutes.
  11. Step 11 Serve with boiled rice and salad

My Tip:

U can put desi ghee tadka at the top but i have avoided
