Raddha ballabi

Ingredients to make Raddha ballabi

  • For dough
  • 1 cup maida
  • salt
  • sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • For stuffing
  • 1/2 cup urad dal. Soaked overnight
  • hing
  • Ginger and green chillies paste 1 tsp
  • fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Bhaja masala (cumin fennel coriander seed and dried red chilli dry roasted n grinded together)
  • salt
  • oil for frying

How to make Raddha ballabi

  1. Knead a semi soft dough using ingredients listed under dough. Keep aside
  2. Grind the soaked urad dal with ginger chilli paste some fennel seeds and salt
  3. Add some bhaja masala to the paste.
  4. In a pan heat 1 tsp oil. Add hing. Ads the dal paste. Keep stirring till it dries up.
  5. Add some bhaja masala again. Keep aside
  6. Take a ball from the dough. Make a pit in it.
  7. Add the dal mix filling the centre. Seal the dough.
  8. Roll lightly into puri
  9. On a medium hot oil fry the raddha ballavi till crisp
  10. Serve with aloo sabji
