About Rajasthani Special "Gatte ka pulaw" Recipe

This is a traditional Recipe of Rajasthan.Gatte is basicaly dough of gram flour &mix spices.it is a new variety of pulaw.

Rajasthani Special "Gatte ka pulaw"

Ingredients to make Rajasthani Special "Gatte ka pulaw"

  • 1 cup gram flour or besan
  • 1tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric
  • cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Assfotieda 1 pinch
  • 1/2tbsp dry mango powder or amchur
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • Kasuri methi 2 tbsp
  • rice 200 gm
  • sugar 1/3 tbsp
  • Cillantro
  • cashew 6
  • Rasins 7
  • clove 2
  • bay leaf 1
  • oil 6 tbsp
  • oil 5 tbsp

How to make Rajasthani Special "Gatte ka pulaw"

  1. 1st knead a dough for gatta for this - take a bowl add flour,1/2tbsp red chilli,turmeric,garam masala salt .kasuri methi .Knead it with warm water
  2. When it will dough slight make roll of it &cut into thick slice like in picture
  3. Fry gatta in a pan.
  4. Soak rice for 5 minutes
  5. In a cooker add oil 6 tbsp ,bay leaf,clove,cashew , assfotieda .
  6. Drain water from rice .
  7. Add cumin seeds,& rice
  8. Saute 1 min
  9. Add fry gatta&remain spices
  10. Add rasins &400 gm water
  11. Cook it for 2 whistle
  12. For garnish add cilantro& kasuri methi

My Tip:

Water is always double of rice
