About Hyderabadi mint chicken Recipe

A delicious Hyderabadi cuisine prepared with fresh mint leaves which gives an aromatic flavour to the dish

Hyderabadi mint chicken

Ingredients to make Hyderabadi mint chicken

  • chicken 500gms
  • ginger garlic paste 2tsp
  • Fresh curd 1cup
  • salt 1.5tsp
  • red chilli powder 1tsp
  • haldi 1/2tsp
  • coriander powder 1.5tsp
  • onions 2
  • Garam masala powder 1tsp
  • cream 3tbsp
  • Green masala paste
  • Green coriander leaves chopped 1/4cup
  • mint leaves chopped 1cup
  • Green chilli 5
  • coconut powder 2tbsp
  • sesame seeds 2tbsp
  • butter 2tbsp
  • ghee 2tbsp

How to make Hyderabadi mint chicken

  1. Mix chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste, curd, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, haldi powder for half an hour at least
  2. Heat ghee and butter in a pan and add chopped onions
  3. Saute till pink
  4. Add marinated chicken and cook on medium flame covered till the chicken is dry and soft
  5. Grind the green masala paste
  6. Add sesame seeds and coconut powder too
  7. Masala should be finely ground
  8. Add this masala to the chicken with 2cup water
  9. Cook for 10minutes on low heat partially covered
  10. Add cream which gives a nice creamy texture and sprinkle Garam masala powder
  11. Serve with hot Malabar laccha paratha

My Tip:

You can use boneless chicken too and add cashew instead of sesame seeds
