Punjabi choorie

Ingredients to make Punjabi choorie

  • 2 Tawa Parantha fresh
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • Chopped finely Mixed nuts , like cashew and almonds
  • 1/3 tablespoon white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon desiccated coconut powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • For Garnishing:
  • peanuts 1 tablespoon
  • Kishmish 1 tablespoon
  • cashewnuts 2

How to make Punjabi choorie

  1. First break the paranthas in small pieces, by shredding it with hands.
  2. Then place it in a mortar and pestle and further pound it into a coarse crumbly mixture. This can also be done in a chopper or food processor.
  3. At this point add the sugar, sesame seeds and chopped nuts. Toss it all together for a couple of minutes till incorporated.
  4. Transfer into a bowl and garnish with mentioned ingredients . serve the Punjabi Choorie immediately.

My Tip:

Sugar can also be replaced by jaggery powder.
