PUNJABI MUTTON WITH BABY NAAN

Ingredients to make PUNJABI MUTTON WITH BABY NAAN

  • Mutton - 600 gm
  • onions - 300 gm chopped
  • ginger - 1 tablespoons grated
  • garlic - 1 tablespoons crushed
  • tomato - 400 gm boiled , skin removed and pureed
  • bay leaf - 1 no
  • Black cardamom - 2 no
  • Green cardamom - 3 no
  • clove - 4 no
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • red chilli powder - 1 tablespoons
  • Kasoori methi - 1 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin - 1 tablespoons
  • Punjabi Garam masala powder - 1 tablespoons
  • oil - 4 tablespoons
  • For the BABY NAAN : 2 cups of maida
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 3 tablespoons oil

How to make PUNJABI MUTTON WITH BABY NAAN

  1. Heat oil and fry bay leaf, black cardamom , green cardamom and Cloves for a few seconds .
  2. Add onion and fry them till they are golden and then add ginger and garlic . Fry till the raw smell goes away and tip in the pureed tomatoes .
  3. Fry till the oil resurfaces .
  4. Add turmeric , red chilli powder , punjabi garam masala powder , cumin , salt and fry for 5 - 6 minutes more .
  5. Add the mutton pieces and fry it in the masala till all the water release by the Mutton gets absorbed and it gets nicely browned .
  6. Add kasuri methi , 2 cups of warm water and close the lid of the pressure pan . Reduce the flame after the first whistles and let the mutton cook for 10 minutes on very low flame .
  7. Check the Mutton is cooked , sprinkle some garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves .
  8. Now ready to serve .
  9. To make the naan, Firstly in a large bowl add all the ingredients and knead a smooth dough .
  10. Cover with a moist cloth and rest for 20 minutes .
  11. Now gently roll to baby oval shape using rolling pin . Grease with water over baby naan .
  12. Furthermore , slowly flip over and put it on hot tawa and slightly press .
  13. Now after a minutes , flip the tawa upside down and cook naan directly on flame till they turn golden brown .
  14. Serve the BABY NAAN WITH PUNJABI MUTTON :relaxed: :relaxed:

My Tip:

Punjabi garam masala is main ingredaints in this recipe , instead of punjabi masala U can use any other garam masala .
