About Akshaya tritiya khichara and amlani Recipe

Today i am presenting akshaya tritiya food of rajasthan.this is traditional dish of rajasthan which is enjoyed on occasion of akshaya tritiya. As we all know that rajasthan is very hot.on this festival all are busy in kites so this imli pani prepared on this day for keep away them from loo.we call it as amalpani.here i use amlani.

Ingredients to make Akshaya tritiya khichara and amlani

  • 1 cup wheat
  • 1 cup moon daal(chilka)
  • 3 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 1 tsp haldi
  • 6 cup water
  • Bari ki subji----
  • 1.5 cup bari
  • 2 tbs oil
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 ts coriander powder
  • Amlani---
  • 1/2 cup imli concentrate
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tspp salt or as per taste
  • 4 glass water
  • ghee for serving

How to make Akshaya tritiya khichara and amlani

  1. Add wheat in mixi
  2. Sprinkle some water
  3. Churn mixi in 2 sec interval for 4-5 times
  4. Then empty them in a thali
  5. And let them dry
  6. Remove their chhilka
  7. Now add daal and wheat in cooker
  8. Add spices and water
  9. Give 3-4 whistle in cooker and our khichara will ready
  10. Khichara
  11. Bari ki subji----
  12. Heat 2 cup water in a pan
  13. When water boil add bari and let it boil
  14. Turn off gas
  15. Don't fell water of bari
  16. Add spices in bari
  17. Heat oil add jeera
  18. And add bari in oil
  19. Let it cook for 3-4 min.
  20. Adjust spices according thickness of gravy
  21. Bari ki subji
  22. Amlani---
  23. Take all ingredents in a bowl and mix them
  24. Till sugar dissolve
  25. Keep in freeze
  26. Amlani
  27. Now add ghee in khichara and serve with subji and amlani
  28. And fried papad
  29. And serve hot
