Garlic Naan

Ingredients to make Garlic Naan

  • all purpose flour 3 cup
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/2 cup curd or milk
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6-7 garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tsp nigella seeds ( optional)
  • butter for brushing
  • 5-6 tbsp chopped cilantro

How to make Garlic Naan

  1. In half glass of warm water, add sugar and yeast. Let it sit until foamy. ( About 10 min)
  2. Take lukewarm milk or normal room temperature curd to knead dough.
  3. Add some garlic, all purpose flour and above milk and yeast water, some salt and oil to mix together to form soft and wet dough.
  4. Cover the dough and leave to rise at warm place until double in size. (3-4 hr )
  5. Now Divide dough into equal piece s and roll each into oval shape or round ( 5" wide - 8" long )
  6. Preheat the oven at 375 F . Spread nigella seeds, and roll once.
  7. Now place in baking sheet and bake for 3-4 min. Remove and brush butter.
  8. And again Put back in oven with broiler for 1 min.
  9. Now spread garlic and cilantro for garnishing.
  10. Serve hot with favorite Curry and enjoy !

My Tip:

We can also make naan on iron skillet or heavy bottom pan. While rolling one naan keep other dough covered with clothe.
