Ingredients to make Kadhi pkoda/dumpling punjabi cusine

  • For kadhi buttermilk (lassi) 1ltr
  • besan one bowl
  • ginger galic coarsly grind 2tsp
  • Oil/desi ghee for tempring 6-7tsp
  • onion medium size for tempring sliced 2no
  • salt as per taste
  • Turmeraric 1Tsp
  • red chilly powder 1tsp
  • bay leaf 1
  • curry leaves fresh 10 or powder 1Tsp
  • Black pepper seed whole 20-25
  • cumin seed 1tsp
  • fenugreek methi seed 1tsp
  • Roasted cumin and dhania seed 2tsp
  • water 1ltr
  • For pkodi
  • besan one bowl
  • onion chopped midium size 2
  • salt to tast
  • turmeric 1/2tsp
  • red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  • oil for frying
  • green chilly optional
  • water one glass

How to make Kadhi pkoda/dumpling punjabi cusine

  1. Get the ingredients ready before tempring
  2. In a bowl add buttermilk and besan and blend till no lumps in it add one LTR water and set aside
  3. Take a heavy bottom wok add ghee/oil now add ginger galic paste and all spices one by one in it and saute it
  4. Now add sliced onion in it and saute till Golden brown
  5. Now add salt red chilly turmeric in it and mix and add buttermilk and besan mixture in it and bring to boil.. When once started boil sim the gas.. And let it boil on gas
  6. Stir timely and boil it for 20-25min on low flame it got thicken..
  7. Get ingredients for pkodi/dumpling
  8. Now another pan take oil for frying pkodi. /dumplings in a bowl mix besan chopped onion salt red pepper and add water in it and make Thick better
  9. Deep fry the pkodi/dumpling
  10. Now add these pkodi/dumplings in boiling kadhi and boil for 5-10min and at this stage add roasted cumin and dhania powder in it and mix..
  11. Served the Kashi with boil rice and chapati

My Tip:

Add roasted cumin and dhania powder after boiling the kadhi for 20 min it will enhace the taste.u can use fresh kadhi le
