Banana Kesari

Ingredients to make Banana Kesari

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 100 gm fine semolina
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3-4 strands of saffron
  • 2 tbspn brown sugar
  • 4-5 almonds slivered fine
  • 4 tbspn ghee

How to make Banana Kesari

  1. Heat the milk in a bowl and soak the saffron strands 5-7 minutes before cooking
  2. peel and mash the banana in a bowl
  3. Heat 2 tbspn ghee and brown the sobered almonds. Keep aside
  4. Add the remaining ghee and add the semolina
  5. keep stirring for 8-10 minutes on Low heat until fragrant
  6. Add the mashed banana and combine well
  7. Add milk and sugar
  8. Mix well and cook covered on Low heat until all the milk is absorbed
  9. serve warm garnished with sliced almonds
