Garlic Spice Loaf

Ingredients to make Garlic Spice Loaf

  • yeast 1 tsp
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Lukewarm water 1/2 cup
  • For dough:
  • Refined flour 2 cups
  • rock salt 1/2 tsp
  • Plain salt 1/2 tsp
  • Melted butter 2 tsp
  • Dried thyme 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic 1 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger 1/2 tsp
  • chilly flakes 1/2 tsp
  • Oregano 1/2 tsp
  • olive Oil 2 tsp
  • water as required

How to make Garlic Spice Loaf

  1. In a bowl add water, dry yeast and sugar, mix well and keep aside till frothy.
  2. For dough add all ingredients (above listed) in a bowl, yeast mixture, lukewarm water and knead the dough till it becomes smooth.
  3. Now dust some refined flour on a plastic basket and place the dough in it (for the weaving marks) or you can place in a simple bowl.
  4. Keep the dough in a warm place for 45 to 60 minutes for proving.
  5. Now demould the dough on greased baking tray and apply milk wash over it.
  6. Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes and after that at 150 degree for another 10 minutes.
  7. If it gets brown on top, cover with the foil paper gently.
  8. Apply some butter on top of it and Garnish with thyme and chilly flakes.
  9. Your garlic spice loaf is ready.
