About Tandoori Aloo Recipe

Tandoori aloo are fried potatoes. A good recipe for starter.

Tandoori Aloo

Ingredients to make Tandoori Aloo

  • 250 gms baby potatoes
  • Hung curd 3/4 cup
  • Carrom seeds 1/2 tsp
  • rock salt
  • oil 4 tsp
  • Fresh cream 3 tbsp
  • gram flour 1.5 tbsp
  • Crushed kasoori methi 3/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 /4 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder 1.5 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp

How to make Tandoori Aloo

  1. PRESSURE COOK 250 GMS BABY POTATOES UPTO 1 WHISTLE, COOL, PEEL.
  2. PRICK THEM WITH A FORK.
  3. TAKE 3/4 CUP HUNG CURD IN A MIXING BOWL.
  4. ADD1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA.
  5. ADD 1 TSP CHAT MASALA, 1/2 TSP ROCK SALT, 1 /2 TSP AJWAIN.
  6. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 3/4 TSP CRUSHED KASURI METHI, 1.5 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER.
  7. ADD 1. 5 TSP GRAM FLOUR, & 3 TBSP FRESH CREAM.
  8. MIX TILL SMOOTH.
  9. ADD THE POTATOES.
  10. LEAVE TO MARINATE FOR 2 HOURS IN THE REFRIGERATOR.
  11. NOW READY TO COOK.
  12. HEAT OIL IN A NON-STICK PAN.
  13. PLACE POTATOES AFTER PICKING THEM OUT OF THE MARINATE.
  14. COOK FROM ALL SIDES TILL CRISP.
  15. GOLDEN BROWN ON SLOW MEDIUM HEAT, TOSSING THEM AT REGULAR INTERVALS.
  16. DRAIN ON A PAPER NAPKINS.
  17. SERVE HOT.
