Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion - 2 chopped finely
  2. Tomato -4 chopped finely
  3. Green chillies- 2
  4. Sambar powder- 1 tbsp
  5. Salt as required
  6. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  7. Curry leaves-a sprig
  8. Oil as required


  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds allow to splutter and add curry leaves
  2. Add chopped onions , slit green chillies and saute till golden.
  3. Add tomatoes and saute well. Add required salt.
  4. Add sambar powder and toss well.
  5. Close the lid and cook simmered till the tomato turns mushy and comes to pachadi consistency
  6. Serve hot with idly dosa chapathi or rice.
