My.mom makes it perfectly, a delicious raita made with fritters made of moong dal.

Moong dal Pakori Raita.

Ingredients to make Moong dal Pakori Raita.

  • 1cup yellow moong dal
  • 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  • A pinch hing.
  • salt
  • 1/4tsp red chilli
  • 1bowl curd.
  • coriander leaves.

How to make Moong dal Pakori Raita.

  1. Soak the dal in water for 20 minutes.
  2. Now strain and grind it.
  3. Add salt.cumin seeds and hing [asafoetida]
  4. Now beat it with hand till it becomes fluffy.
  5. Heat oil
  6. Make small pakoris , by dropping the dal batter dumplings into the hot oil.
  7. Fry and strain the fritters, Put it in a bowl of water
  8. Whisk the curd.
  9. Now squeeze the pakodas and dip them in the curd.
  10. Add salt & red chilli.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves.

My Tip:

U can make bhallas with this better.
